This is the 2nd annual Irvine Bay 10km Fun Run. Sunday 15th August. Run or walk.
EVENT HOTLINE 07512222596. Start-South Crescent Road Ardrossan at the Barony Church.
Finish-South Crecent Road at the Barony Church.
Walkers start 10.30am.Runners start 11am.
Be at the start of the race for 9.45am

Jim Montgomerie(The Running Kilt)has years of experiance in the fitness industry especially in the running field. He has ran marathons in London,New York, Rio De Jeneiro, Sydney .Ran 30 miles on The Great Wall Of China, ran 30 miles in The Geographic North Pole at minus 48 degrees and ran 100 miles through The Sahara Desert all in his kilt. He was the first non American the 3rd person world wide to complete 30 miles at the North Pole only stopping because the Doctor pulled him out due to health reasons or he could have ran further. He was the 2nd person world wide to join the hot and cold club. This is for people who have ran the North Pole and the Sahara Desert in 1 week(hence the name). The extrordinary thing is he done both these races with a broken foot.
He has helped raise well over £150,000 for numerous charities and we are glad to be on board with him to bring this run to the Irvine Bay Area.
